Andrew hails from the UK, where he was an advertising and compliance manager for a major television network. While there, he trained as a Massage Therapist, specialized in sports massage and was fortunate to have worked with members of the British Athletics squad.Andrew left the UK for New York in September 2001 and re-trained in Massage Therapy at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York. He was offered a teaching position at school while still a student, and spent two fall semesters there teaching sports massage, while also working at spas in Manhattan.Andrew moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2004 and has been an instructor in massage therapy since 2005. He has taught across the entire massage therapy curriculum, ranging from Swedish Massage and Anatomy & Physiology, to Orthopedic Assessment and the treatment of sports injuries. He built a successful private practice in Atlanta and loved that he was able to both teach and use his hands-on expertise in private practice. More recently, Andrew transitioned from the classroom into more administrative roles in education, where he has been instrumental in the development of programs of study, curriculum, faculty and students.Andrew was born in England and raised in the Caribbean. He enjoys cycling and walking his two dogs. He also serves as a mentor to several young men in Atlanta and believes that mentoring is an invaluable extension of his ability to reach his students through education.Currently he serves as the Director of Education of The International School of Skin, Nail Care and Massage Therapy in Atlanta, Georgia.
