This course is designed for clinical laboratory personnel who perform ABO blood typing in hospitals and blood banks who wish to further their understanding of ABO typing discrepancies and how they are resolved. This course will provide a review of the immunological principles related to ABO typing, an overview of ABO testing, outline the various types of ABO discrepancies that may occur during testing, and offer methods for resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate blood typing.
